The French Alps, which are located in the southeast of France, have a high mountain climate. Lots of snow falls in winter in the Mountainous regions like the Alps, Pyrenees and Auvergne. The Occitan Christmas Festival will feature many local traditions and is a great festive event in Languedoc. The Lavender Festival in Digne-les-Baines celebrates the seasons lavender harvest and is an event that will immerse travellers in some memorable local traditions. Events: Nimes will host street festivals and parades for five days at the Feria de Pentecôte, another of Nimes annual traditional bullfighting festivals.
