The beers on tap are delicious and have a range of slightly weird yet yummy flavours- pine lime splice IPA?! , drinking great beers with the option of cosy lounges or table and chairs. First we saw the pizza food truck outside the entrance - not at all how I'd pictured it but makes for a more interesting experience!
There is a wall of barrels, a painting of "The Big Man" - John Candy, many many chandeliers, a pink elephant (actually, maybe a few..), and most of all a whole lota love. Great when it arrives but maybe don't expect it.

On Saturday it was a disappointing pie van - mostly disappointing as they only had about three pies left by 2.30pm. Wow. Any snacks available?If you start to feel hungry, there’s a van out the front that serves pizza. Official. I definitely recommend a visit. I recently tried the Lei Lady Lei, a Hawaiian IPA with hibiscus, as well as a glass of the Puns and Roses, an English Rose IPA - both lip-smackingly delicious.2. This place is soooo chill and sooo lovely. Pizza Wagon outside was also very good. While the roast chicken beer might not cater to vegetarians, the pizza van parked out front has some delicious options.

Hidden across a string of storage unit style buildings in the shadow of the giant CUB brewery, the creativ, We visited Moon Dog on the weekend for a close family wedding - the staff went beyond to ensure that all were happy. This place is good for big groups as there lots of room for standing up or sitting down and they even have a secret room behind a bookcase!
My partner ordered the black IPA which also had a really nice taste. Good music, not terrible pizza (the dough was excellent but the tomato base was bland), pretty good beer for $18 a jug.
Last time we were there, we tucked into jugs of Splice of Heaven pine-lime IPA, a little tropical number, and finished with a Cake Hole black forest stout, which was a little like a German gateau in a bottle. There is mismatched furniture, student lounge style, and quirky decorations which add to the charm. Great beers, all round. This was a real discovery. Here are three obvious reasons:1. The beer is delicious, although I've yet to work my way up to the really big guys on offer. While the roast chicken beer might not cater to vegetarians, the pizza van parked out front has some delicious options. I'd certainly recommend this place to anyone of any age over 18!! Guests of the winery can sample the portfolio of wines and ciders as well as locally produced craft beers and spirits. So you decide whether you'd like to overindulge or walk out possibly wanting a little more. So chill!! Check out Moon Dog for excellent brews, crews and chews. There are cocktails, wines, and spirits for the beer-averse. Outstanding atmosphere, friendly staff only down side is they were out of t-shirts. Walk into a huge garage filled with big long tables and comfy couches which are great for groups. Launched this week, the $100 Pub in a Box contains two schooner glasses, snacks and a selection of beers from Moon Dog’s limited releases and core ranges. Micro Brewery. Secretly tucked away in a side street away from the roast ducks and neon lights of Victoria street this is a great spot for beers and pizza. (Rumour has it there was a brew made with roast chicken.)

You're drinking craft beer from a small brewery, so expect that the beers will be priced accordingly. (Rumour has it there was a brew made with roast chicken.) Never have I had the same experience as here in Sydney where there is a craft brewery in every suburb of the inner city and we are spoilt for. Got the skinny on this place? The beautiful and shiny fermentation system is comprised of an ever-growing farm of cylindro-conical tanks. This was a great find with an unpretentious crowd and away from all the tourist areas. Ambience abounds in each venue also.
1 pizza is not quite big enough for 2 to share and 2 would have been too many. This place is brews some bold flavors and has some very unique decor and atmosphere. The ultimate source of travel inspiration plus 2 free gifts.
2 other reviews that are not currently recommended. Its cosy Duke Street tasting bar, with its home-spun fit-out and handful of small kegs on display behind the taps, might give the impression that the label is running a relatively small operation, but, in reality, it's just the tip of the iceberg. You want Moon dog to be successful but not too much otherwise it will lose that integral sense of character. I haven't witnessed it myself, but I'm completely baffled and mystified as to why parents would take their kids here.
