If you’re coming from Aveiro, the best way to get to São Jacinto beach is taking the ferry that crosses Aveiro Lagoon. What the Portuguese will do is spent the afternoon on the beach and end the day they will cover themselves in the mud close to the spring, to wash it off in the spring, a perfectly relaxing way to perfect skin and a relaxing holiday! It’s a close drive to many great beaches and has some very nice gastronomy and accommodation. You can even buy some souvenirs, eat something in a coffee shop or restaurant or even taste the popcorn!
