Personally, I wouldn’t count “Paul” among its writers’ best or funniest works (I’d name “Hot Fuzz as #1), but I do think it fits in well with Pegg and Frost’s previous comedies. It is action-packed, fast-paced, hilarious, and full of vulgarities, but mostly coming from Ruth Buggers (played by the charming Kristen Wiig) they somehow don't seem offensive.
