But more than the lower canine body count, Frank Marshall's film doesn't seem to trust the dogs to carry the picture, so when Paul Walker and a wounded Bruce Greenwood are forced to leave their dogs behind by an encroaching storm, rather than focus on the dogs ingenious attempts to survive in a hostile landscape, it constantly takes us away from their plight to focus on Walker's guilt trip as he tries to raise the money for a rescue mission, ending up feeling like The Killing Fields with dogs. For six months, Jerry tries to find a sponsor for a rescue mission while his dogs fight for survival. Will they survive ?. Ps, watch out for the seal. Paul Walker and the rest of the cast were great in it. After they leave the base station bad weather starts to settle in, so they are told to return to home base by the next day.They find what they are after, but things start going wrong from here on in.
